There is nothing that I regret writing in the particular Yahoo answer to which you refer. What I wrote was true - the Catholic church for centuries forbade the translation of the Holy Bible into modern vernacular languages where it could be read and understood by the common people.
(Cristoiglesia) No, what you wrote is absolutely false. The Church NEVER forbade the translation of the Bible into a vernacular language. They did forbid heretical translations which lacked acceptable scholarship. At the time, in the16th century, all educated people knew Latin which has always been the language of the Church and of scholars.
(Veryconcerned person) The early Protestant fathers were, in fact, burnt at the stake for either the translating of the Bible into English or German. Or, once they had done this, they discovered that the Roman Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation was totally HERETICAL and they were, instead, burnt at the stake for this instead.
(Cristoiglesia) No, there were not any burnings by the Church of anyone for translating the Bible. If you are speaking of William Tyndale it was Henry the 8th who ordered his execution and not the Church. Neither was anyone burned at the stake for the heresy of denying the truly real presence of Christ in Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Eucharist. Jesus’ teaching in John 6 is not heretical in any way but the Protestant desecration of His blessed Sacrament is heretical and indeed blasphemous.
(Veryconcerned person) Is the RC church going to apologise for burning Cramner, Latimer, Ridley & Hooper at the stake? It hasn't done so to date.

(Veryconcerned person) The Roman church is a thoroughly heretical church & I would encourage you to repent of your sin, throw away your evil Catholic idols depicting Mary or the saints, accept the Jesus Christ as the SINGLE ONLY way to God & leave the Catholic church for a Bible believing Protestant church that God will show you.

You say that I sin for having idols yet there is no such thing as Catholic idols. Idolatry is strictly forbidden in the Church founded by Jesus and the disciples. We would agree that Christ is the way of salvation but I believe as the Bible teaches that the way is through His Church which you obviously reject for your man made counterfeit.
There is no such thing as a true Bible believing Protestant church as they all teach some heresy mixed with their truth as you have already revealed in your bearing false witness against Christ’s Church and His faithful. Only the fullness of truth is available through the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church wrote the Bible (NT) and canonized the Christian Scriptures. The New Testament is about the Catholic Church in teaching and in practice. There is no truer biblical teaching than that which is taught by the only Church that the Bible promises is the “pillar and foundation of the truth”.
Your so called “Bible believing Protestant church” has no such promise of veracity and no authority from Christ to teach anyone like Jesus gave to His Church. The very name “Protestant” says that you are in protest of what Christ created. I left the Protestant Church because of the constant slide towards apostasy and the unending false teaching from within which was done in total disregard of biblical teaching and in favor of man made doctrines and prejudice.
(Veryconcerned person) By doing this, God will not only grant you a real peace within your heart but you would be rescued from HELL FIRE & ETERNAL DESTRUCTION that awaits millions of Roman Catholics who like you, are still ignorantly following Roman Catholic doctrines believing they can find salvation through them. Tragically, this is not the case.
(Cristoiglesia) I have real peace within my heart since I have left the heresies of the Protestant sect. It is as if I have come inform the darkness of false teaching and into the light of truth. Do you really think that your man made sect has a better chance of teaching you truth than the Church Jesus and the disciples founded? If so you have been deceived by your pride and arrogance. Truly I believe that being obedient to Jesus and being in His will is the way of salvation in His Church. He prayed the following in His last prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane:
Joh 17:21 That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Reject the churches and doctrines of men for God Word and His will that you be in His Church.
