Matt 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Mat 18:18 "I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Mat 16:19 gives an important additional element which clarifies what binding and loosing means. It says Matt 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

(richardatf) I tire of this, all I ever get from catholic priests is obfuscation, catechisms, and mistranslations of scripture. It would appear the catholic faith as a whole is incapable of utilizing a Strongs Concordance to learn the meaning of words.
(Cristoiglesia) No, there is no obfuscation, mistranslations or lack of understanding for the original languages. I really do not need Strongs to interpret because I have an education in biblical languages.

(richardatf) Let me tell you, I have nothing against the people in the catholic church. There are many who believe in Christ Jesus with all their hearts and minds and souls. What is unfortunate is the system that teaches these poor souls to worship in a manner that God will not accept. And you teach this system.
(Cristoiglesia) Really, your attitude towards Christ’s Church and its faithful in conjunction with your blatant lies and innuendos against the Church puts the veracity of your statements into great question. Instead you come across as an ignorant, hateful, bigoted, judgmental, arrogant and prideful tool of Satan. The “system” you speak of is the system that was founded by Jesus and the disciples with the promise that it will endure for all time free from apostasy and is the “pillar and foundation of the truth.”

(Cristoiglesia) No I do not as long as the focus of all worship is towards our Lord and Savior. I agree that it is our Lord that will judge and not you from your own prejudice and hatred. God knows the heart of men and not you who is lost in your own arrogance and hatred. You are the victim of false teachers because you are like those that Jesus prophesied about who can no longer endure sound doctrine and have gathered around them teachers who satisfy their itching ears. Jesus says that at judgment that these will be treated as if He never knew them and they will be thrown into the lake of fire for eternity.

Mat 5:44

"Let every person be subordinate to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been established by God. Therefore, whoever resists authority opposes what God has appointed, and those who oppose it will bring judgment upon themselves." Romans 13:1-2
"He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me." (Mt 10:40)
And:
"He who hears you hears Me, and he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me." (Lk 10:16)
